Serving our customers for 30 years, Mattress Warehouse opened its first store in November 1989 in Frederick, MD. The first Mattress Warehouse store was located in a mere 1200 square foot area and the first warehouse was a self-storage locker! Times have changed and we now have more than 300 convenient Mattress Warehouse store locations and we continue to grow. As the first retailer to partner with the Direct to Consumer brands such as Purple, Nectar and Casper, Mattress Warehouse believes in providing our guests solutions to fit any body and any budget.
Through three decades of solid growth, Mattress Warehouse is looking to accelerate its footprint growth, reaching 500 stores by year 2027. This will largely be achieved through expansion into NY, SC, GA and FL. We currently utilize two distribution centers (Frederick, MD and High Point, NC) and are expected to open two more (Orlando, FL and Columbia, SC) in 2023. Continued efforts are underway to find a future distribution site in New Jersey.
